Talk UX | Executive Coaching with AuthenticWorks
One of the (many) excellent things about attending Talk UX is the opportunity to connect with other women in design and technology and to learn from and be inspired by others’ careers.
We’ve got some incredible leaders appearing on stage, who are sure to give you food for thought and help you gain clarity around what might be next for you.
But, what if you’re just not sure what the next step is? Or how to take it? Or perhaps you’re dealing with a professional challenge and need help finding your way. What can you do? One answer could be to consider coaching.
We’re delighted, for Talk UX 2019, to have Hilary Farrington, founder of AuthenticWorks joining us for a series of free 1 : 1 coaching ‘taster’ sessions. These short coaching sessions are designed to give you a flavour of what coaching can do and how you might benefit. Hilary has a range of coaching techniques and methods that can be tailored to your individual needs or circumstances.
Having spent over 25 years in senior marketing and consulting roles in the consumer and healthcare industries, In 2017, Hilary decided to take a leap and set up AuthenticWorks Executive Coaching with a desire to do something she loved, was good at and knew could be transformative for people she worked with.
“being true to yourself, understanding your values and ensuring you work with, rather than against them, is key to success and happiness”
Hilary Farrington – Founder and Executive Coach – AuthenticWorks
Hilary says: “It took me a long time to understand that being authentic, being true to yourself, understanding your values and ensuring you work with, rather than against them, is key to success and happiness. If our values are questioned or compromised then this can lead to low self esteem and confidence. Coaching helped me, after 20 odd years doing something I was good at but didn’t really enjoy, to identify what was really important to me and what I really wanted Since making the decision to walk away from a successful career to set up my own coaching business, I haven’t looked back”
Hilary has a breadth of coaching, facilitation and consulting experience gained from the many and varied roles she has held over the years. She has a particular interest in supporting women in organisations and ensuring people are well equipped to perform at their best whatever their circumstances. Hilary is a Postgraduate qualified coach and has ACC status with the International Coaching Federation. She is also a qualified MBTI and EQi practitioner.
Come along with an open mind and a challenge or opportunity to discuss, or just come along to see whether coaching is something you might find beneficial. The coaching sessions will be 20 minutes long and anything discussed will be completely confidential. Sessions are bookable on the day on a first come, first served basis.
